Overflow is a specialty coffee cafe in Sushant Golf City, run by people who train their own team. If you want to learn the craft properly — behind the bar, in the kitchen, or leading the floor — we'd like to hear from you.
Overflow is a small, independent cafe — not a chain. That means the people who own it are in the building, you'll be trained by them directly, and the work you do is visible in every cup that leaves the bar.
We hire for attitude and train for skill. Several of our baristas started as servers with no coffee background at all. What we can't train is showing up on time, treating people well, and caring whether the work is done properly.
Three things we offer that most cafes in Lucknow can't.
Adam is one of very few SCA-authorised coffee trainers in India, and he trains the team himself. You learn brewing and barista skills to an international standard — knowledge that stays with you wherever you go next.
Servers move to the bar. Commis move up sections. We set goals with you, review them, and promote from within before we look outside — the growth path isn't a line in a job ad.
Everyone here — bakery, kitchen, floor, cleaning staff — is treated with the same respect. Rotas are published in advance, leave is planned around, and problems get heard rather than shouted down.

Run the Continental section, execute our chef consultant's menu to spec, and hold the standard on flavour, plating and consistency. You'll lead prep and service in your section alongside the sous chef.
Three levels, one kitchen. Commis III starts with the fundamentals, Commis II handles dishes independently, Commis I owns a section and guides the juniors. Tell us your level on the form and we'll place you accordingly.
Lead a team of 15+ across bakery, kitchen and floor. You'll own the rota, procurement, inventory and daily standards — and be the person the team comes to. A mentor role as much as an admin one.
Overflow was started by Adam and Carly Kissinger around a simple idea: a world where coffee is never disappointing. Getting there needs people who care about the detail when nobody's checking.

Do I need coffee experience to work here?
Not for service roles. You'll need about a year of restaurant experience for Barista/Server, but coffee knowledge is taught here — several of our baristas joined with none. Kitchen roles do need relevant experience, which is listed on each role page.
Where is the cafe, and how do I get there?
Ground Floor, Click Collection Hotel, near Medanta Hospital, Sushant Golf City, Lucknow 226002. It's a fair distance from central Lucknow, so please make sure the daily commute works for you before applying.
What are the shift timings?
The cafe is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and until 11:00 PM at weekends. Floor shifts run in three bands — morning (7:30 AM–4:30 PM), day (11:00 AM–7:00 PM) and evening (2:00 PM–11:00 PM). You'll tell us which you can work on the form, and rotas are published in advance.
