Adam Kissinger, co-founder of Overflow Coffee, spent years managing specialty coffee shops across the United States before moving to Lucknow with his wife Carly. Adam and Carly both hold SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certifications all the way up to the professional level. This is one of the most rigorous standardized programs in the global coffee industry.
What makes this unusual: Adam is not just certified as a barista. He is a certified SCA trainer. Every barista working at Overflow has been trained by him, on-site.
This means the latte you order on a Tuesday morning will be the same as the one on a Saturday evening. The pour-over will be brewed with the same precision regardless of how busy the floor is. Consistency is not only a promise, it is a result of how the team is built.
